Krafty Kate

Okay... so I have never been to crafty, but I am trying. Since I saw my sister Kristin's blog with all her cute projects and hobbies, I had to put up some of the stuff I do when not in school or practicing music.

So, I made this sign. (Thanks Kristin for the Porter's Gift Card. This is what I made with it!)

Spencer bought me a sewing machine for Christmas. I love it, but I'm still learning how to work with it. This is the only thing I have made with it this far. It's the top to a baby quilt. When I got to Arizona my mom is going to help me bind it. My basement apartment doesn't shine a lot of light in, so the colors look kind of faded in the picture. It really is cute though.

For all of you out there wondering: no were not expecting. The blanket is for the future.

On top of try to be crafty, I have a passion for cooking. And since I have a passion for cooking, I have to have a passion for the gym, so my cooking doesn't catch up with me.

Valentine's Day

Well, this year Spencer and I kept our Valentine's Day quite simple. Both of us had to work the day before and since Feb. 14th fell on a Sunday, we decided to just do the celebrating at home. I got Spencer a package of cereal... name brand, I'll have you know... and a rose to wear to church. Spencer got me a couple movies: Chicken Run, Robots, and It Could Happen To You, along with a beautiful bouquet of flowers that he arranged himself. (This is very important that Spencer arranged them himself. He worked in a flower shop back in Kentucky and he really has some skill at it.)

We went to church where, in Nursey, the kidos made Valentine's for there parents and I tired not to kill any of them. ;) After church was all over, Spencer helped me to the car, but as soon as he opened the passagers door there was a giant teddy bear in the seat. When I mean giant, I mean it! Spencer had to put a seat belt on it to get it to stay back.

After getting home, I set to the task of making our dinner. I didn't remember to take pictures of it which is a shame, because I made it all look so fancy. I did get a picture of my happy husband after he ate it though!

I love this picture, even though Spencer says he looks scarey.

Christmas Time

This year for Christmas Spencer and I went to Kentucky. Spencer's parents moved to Kentucky/ Ohio a little over a year ago. It was great to go around and see the beautiful area. We had a wonderful and festive Christmas. But before we could run off to Kenutcky we had to put up our Christmas tree.

Soon the adventure began. We flew from Salt Lake to Chicago , and hoped to have gone from Chicago to Cincinatti. After being stuck at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago for over 10 hours, Momma and Daddy Tracy came to the rescue. They drove 5 hours from Cincinatti to Chicago and back again, so that we could spend Christmas Day with them. We love them so much! It really made the season that much more filed with Christmas Spirit.

My 21st Birthday

My birthday was on the 16th of this month, so I thought I would start our family blog with some of our most current events. This birthday was terrific. Spencer took me out for a night on the town and took me to the shwankiest place in Idaho Falls. Rutabagas! It's a funny name, but they are serious about there food. It's one of those restaurants were every night has a different menu and you have the choice from a thousand different wines. This is the first time I got to officially say "no" to booze. YEAH FOR ME!!!

For the special night I bought a pretty hot, red dress. Hey it was my 21st birthday and I wasn't getting any alcohol or going to a casino, so I had to make do with a sexy, red dress!

Have I mentioned that Spencer is a romantic. I'm a lucky girl. For every special occasion or hoilday (or if he gets into a bit of trouble) Spencer gets me flowers! I love flowers. These are the ones that he got for me! I think they are beautiful!!!

The start of a new Blog

So, here begins the adventure of starting a blog. Some of you may think that Spencer and I have another blog, but we have never really used it and Spencer set it up and forgot the password. In short, we need to erase the other, and hopefully I'll figure this out some.

Starting a blog is going to be hard for me, because I think I have nothing to share... which is true most of the time. All the same, here is my attempt. It will take me some time to learn how to make this little page into something hip, but I'm not making any promises.
